I am a Year 5 student in Team Moana at Ohaeawai School in Northland, New Zealand.
We have been learning how to ask questions in Te Reo. The question was :
E aha ana koe? This means: What are you doing?
Then we had to be able to answer that question several times using different Te Reo verbs.
Here is my work.
This writing task was about a language experience. Our teachers brought different kinds of chocolate to school and we got to eat it! We tried white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel chocolate and pink chocolate. We could write about it in any way we liked but our teachers hoped we would use lots of describing language and our sensese.
Chocolate
It feels like a soft and puffy pillow. It tastes like a dream and is milky and really creamy. It looks like frozen milk and a brownie. They smell like creamy milk and coffee.
Both at the same time taste like milk and brownie mixed together mmm yum so good. My favravite is the milk chocolate because it is not so strong like the other one.
This week for reading we had to complete a cloze activity. after we read a book about chocolate.

When cocoa beans are being roasted they get darker and darker and the delicious, chocolatey smell gets stronger. A mug of thick, creamy, hot koko is just what Annie needs.
This week for reading we had to focus on being able to find adverbs in a story
and recognise what kind of adverb they were.
